North Korea/US Tensions Continue to Climb

By — August 8, 2017 — 1 comment

Recent comments from American president Donald Trump have spiked tensions between North Korea and the United States after American intelligence agencies announced the North Koreans had developed miniaturized nuclear weapons capable of fitting on the ends of their missiles. Said missiles are capable of reaching the continental United States. In response to this information, Trump stated that North Korea’s actions could be met with “Fire and Fury”. North Korea, likely commenting on the recent UN sanctions placed on the country but possibly referring to Trump’s comments, threatened to fire a preemptive nuclear salvo at US forces on the island of Guam. The situation is incredibly tense and continues to develop. Check back for updates.

Edit: North Korea has clarified they intend to test-fire four missiles over Japan and into the ocean off Guam by the middle of August.
