Four Russian Border Guards Service (Coast Guard) vessels have engaged with several Ukrainian Navy vessels in the Sea of Azov, near the Kerch Strait. In the engagement, with vessels dodging and charging at one another, the 1,620 ton Russian Coast Guard vessel PSKR Don (053) rammed the 303 ton Ukrainian tugboat Kapu Yana (U947). The Ukrainian vessel is reportedly heavily damaged, and has sustained casualties. Additional Ukrainian naval vessels are on their way to the location, and were slated to arrive around noon Kyiv-time, 25 November 2018. This page will be updated as information becomes available.
